DEC

Just got to put this in here! It was 31st December, New Years Eve of the Millennium, what a fantastic time to be alive.  I am gigging with ROADRUNNER at The Butcher's Arms at Forsbrook, Stoke on Trent.  The clock has just struck midnight and we are doing a massive scrub ending to a track, perfectly in time with the clock striking midnight.  The pub is in uproar, everyone is celebrating the turning of the millennium and everyone is filled with joy.  As the scrub at the end of the track ends, we all shout Happy New Year and Happy New Millennium to all in the venue.  Just at that moment, Alan is tuning up his bass with his tuner on the floor, so his head is bowed.  As everyone is pissed out of their faces, one of the pissed up members of the crowd falls backwards over the monitor that is right in front of Alan, as he raises his head and  the beer filled punter falls over the monitor, into the mic stand and it twats Alan full bore in the eye!  Well, laugh....... I was bursting!!!  His wife came over and we made sure he was ok, bent over and the whole pub saw her right up her leather belt (skirt)hehe!! So not just Alan, but the whole pub got an eye full!!! He was O.k. after a bit of pampering from his Mrs. and we carried on and finished the gig. After we'd stopped laughing... Fuck me, I bet that hurt!! ooOOOooo .....hehehe

The Winter/Spring 2003 UK tour in support of the MSP Records single release 'SPIN THE MIRROR' began on January 31st and ran all the way through to mid April taking in 38 towns and cities and 9000 miles
Unfortunately at this point, the keyboard player and bass player had left so I learned all the keyboard parts and put them in, one by one into a Yamaha A3000 sampler and had a 8 piece electronic kit integrated into my acoustic kit with keyboards at the side of me.  I had to play both parts  by hitting the correct pad at the correct time as well as playing the drums.  When there was no drums in a section, I would play the keyboard.  I got Steve Clay to play the bass.
